Starting the label in 2002, ‘legal’ digital downloads was just really taking off, CDs in standard jewel cases were still very much in style. Our first couple of releases were NOT consistent in layout / format. As both technology and pricing changed with manufacturing, so would our format for printing and artwork layout. MEGA002 is unique in that it is the only release to contain ‘enhanced’ content on the first 1,000 pressed copies. After which we went to a standard audio cd format. MEGA008 marks the first use of the ‘circle M’ logo.

These releases were originally distributed through Satélite K in Spain. These releases are the ones labeled ‘SATK’. After multiple issues as well as a manufacturing defective [ME 002] release, we eventually were able to manufacture and distribute on our own. Later releases would involve the distribution of BrokenSilence out of Germany.

Cassette Tapes
It looks like the cassette tape just won’t die. Strangely the CD is going out of style now (2020). Our first few releases with JumpUp Records were reissues of Toasters releases that we had done vinyl pressing of with the label. These tapes were few limited run, 250-500 copies tops. They were ‘hand made’ by JumpUp Records on a high end consumer vintage tape replicator. Paper labels and single sided jcards.

Video Releases
So far we have only produce two physical video product releases. The Toasters single disc DVD compilation for ourselves and Stomp Records in Canada as well as the double disc version of the release for Moon Ska World in the UK. We are currently working on a BluRay for The Toasters, of which the main focus is the 1996 Whisky A Go Go performance along with a plethora of additional live material from the years, 99% of which has never been seen by anyone other than those that originally attending the show! Our YouTube Channel will also be seeing future consistent releases of various media and clips.
