New ska in 2012!

Hello ska fans!

First and foremost, we have recently combined a few of our databases, including our online store and past mailing lists. If you are recieving this email, then at some point in the past you have registered on one of our sites. Over the next week we will be fully integrating the online Megalith store (www.megalithrecords.com/store) into our regular site. This means users will log into megalithrecords.com and shop right inside the site! You may need to update your mailing address and a few other items in your profile. With the integration, we will be posting lots of new items for sale, as well as digging through the archives to pull out some old Toasters posters and whatever else we've got to offer up! So be sure to check back in over the next few weeks! Also, we have just placed a new embroidered patch order! Both to restock some old designs and some brand new ones! We will have new "ska", Toasters, 2Tone Lizard Kings, Skatalites, Rudie Crew and more.

Also on the horizon is a brand new release by our Hungarian friends Pannonia Allstars Ska Orchestra! "Lovemonster" is going to press in Europe as a Double CD, which includes a disc of PASO tunes as well as a second disc that features PASO's Roots Rockers side project, entitled "Lost in Space" and completely mixed by Victor Rice! This album will be available for sale digitally very soon, with a single disc version released in cunjuntion with Rocking Records out of Germany to follow later this year.

Speaking of Rocking Records, we have just recieved the lastest Freddy Loco release 'Round 4'! It will be up for sale in the new store next week and has already been submitted for digital distribution. We are very excited about this release as it has brought two great Freddy's together, no we're not talking about the one with knives for fingers! "Rocksteady Freddie" of Toasters and New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble fame, has teamed up with Freddy Loco to perform and co-write on this new record. Mr. Loco is really making a name for himself in the ska scene, with each release being better than the one before!

We've also gotten in the new Void Union, of which we co-released with Rocking Records as well. This band is pushing the boundries of ska and collaborations like no other current band is today. With all the members working hard in various other bands and still finding time and energy to come together to tour and produce original creative sounds as a unit is an amazing feat in today's economy! "Higher Guns" has been getting rave reviews from both fans and critics alike. The CD version will be for sale in the new store, but if you like your music media slightly larger, JumpUp Records! has released the album on vinyl for your vintage pleasure.

We've got some vinyl for you too! Both 2Tone Army and Dub 56, by The Toasters, have received the royal vinyl treatment. Both albums come packaged as oversized folded posters, digital download cards and awesome multi colored vinyl! We even have some limited white and clear wax! These will be posted accordingly in the new web shop.

Finally, we've just received the new Red Five Point Star release 'Worst Case Scenario'. If you caught The Toasters on their recent tour, you may have gotten a chance to see this band perform. They came all the way from Slovenia to play for the hungry US ska scenesters and they left quite an impression. The band has played back-up for Bucket for many festival gigs in Europe, so you know their chops are up to par. Be sure to check out their excellent cover of "Social Security" on this latest release.

Be sure to sign in and update your profile and check out the new layout! This is our 10th year anniversary! Thanks to all of your for your continued support! We hope to have 10+ more years of bringing great ska, reggae rock'n'soul to you!
